Belize City is a lively mix of historic, colonial, and modern-day thriving society. Its eastern boundary runs along the Caribbean Sea which makes tourism a big part of the city’s economy. As well, Belize City schools consistently score among the highest in countrywide and regional examinations. The National Carnival is held here in September.
