There are a number of ways to get to "La Isla Bonita" San Pedro from Belize City, including by sea (via the San Pedro Belize Express or the Ocean Ferry Belize) or by air (via Tropicair or Maya Island Air). After arriving in Belize City, our guides will meet you and take you to Lamanai.
Located in the Orange Walk district, the Lamanai ruin is home to ceremonial artifacts, buildings, and even a primitive sugar mill. With over one hundred structures, a ball court, and twelve major buildings spread over 900 acres of Belizean soil, Lamanai is one of the largest ceremonial sites of the Maya.
It only takes 45 minutes to drive up north to Lamanai on the New River for a scenic boat ride. It's truly an experience like no other to share the pleasures of Orange Walk with your loved ones while floating upriver in safety.
An early morning ride like this is the perfect way to start your day before climbing the temples at Lamanai. You will also encounter a wide variety of flora and fauna on this adventure tour. The boat captain may even make a few stops to mimic the call of the animals in the area so you can experience the full wildlife experience!
Climbing to the summit of Lamanai for the unique view above the canopy will be an unforgettable experience for the brave at heart.
