San Ignacio is the most practical starting point for ATM Cave because it keeps the day focused on the reserve and the cave instead of a cross-country transfer. Plan about 6–7 hours from your confirmed Cayo pickup, depending on location, site access, weather, and group pace. This is still a demanding day; shorter road time does not reduce the swimming, wet rock, or enclosed cave movement.
