Belize Tours from Placencia
Culture, Adrenaline, and Nature—All in One Day. Designed for the ambitious traveler, this tour combines Belize’s top three mainland adventures into a single, unforgettable journey. From the towering heights of the Xunantunich Maya Temples to the thrill of the jungle canopy and the cool mystery of the underworld, this is the most action-packed day trip available from Placencia.
We start with culture. Cross the Mopan River on the hand-cranked ferry and ascend the ancient "Stone Woman." You will climb El Castillo (130 ft) for panoramic views of the Cayo district before the midday heat sets in.
Next, we head to the rainforest adventure park. Strap in and fly through the jungle canopy on a series of high-speed cables and platforms, getting a bird's-eye view of the pristine Belizean wilderness.
Finish the adventure by grabbing a tube and floating through the refreshing waters of the Caves Branch River. Your LED headlamp will reveal glittering stalactites and ancient ceremonial centers hidden inside the cave system.
This itinerary is impossible on a big bus. A "Triple Tour" requires precision timing. Our private service ensures efficient transitions between sites, a flexible lunch schedule, and the comfort of a private vehicle for the nap you’ll definitely want on the drive home!

What to Bring: This is a multi-activity day! Bring hiking shoes (for ruins/zip), water shoes (for tubing), swimsuit, towel, bug spray, and a change of dry clothes.
1. Is this too much for one day?
It is a busy day, but very doable for active travelers. We arrange the order of activities to manage your energy levels (History first, active second, relaxing float last).
2. Can children do this tour?
Yes, but we recommend it for ages 7 and up due to the long duration. Children must be 40+ inches tall for the cave tubing/zipline.
3. Where do we eat?
We usually stop for a local Belizean lunch (included) between the Ruins and the Adventure Park to refuel for the afternoon.
4. What shoes should I wear?
Wear your sneakers/hiking shoes for the morning drive and Xunantunich. You can change into water shoes when we arrive at the cave tubing park.
5. Why is the pickup so early?
Leaving at 6:00 AM is the secret to a perfect trip. It gets us to Xunantunich before it gets hot and crowded, and ensures we get back to Placencia in time for dinner.
