Belize Tours from San Ignacio
The "Triple Crown" of Cayo. You came to San Ignacio for adventure—this is how you get it all. This power-packed day combines the region's three most popular experiences into one seamless itinerary. Because you are staying locally in the Cayo District, we have the advantage of short drive times, allowing you to climb ancient temples, fly through the canopy, and float through the underworld, all while being back at your hotel in time for Happy Hour.
We start the day with a quick drive to the village of San Jose Succotz. After crossing the Mopan River on the hand-cranked ferry, we explore Xunantunich. Since we are local, we aim to arrive before the tour buses from the coast. You’ll have the massive El Castillo temple mostly to yourself for that perfect summit photo looking into Guatemala.
Next, we drive east towards the foothills for the adventure portion of the day. You’ll gear up and soar through the rainforest canopy on a network of high-speed ziplines. It’s a thrilling perspective of the jungle that few get to see.
After the adrenaline rush (and a delicious lunch), it’s time to cool off. We head to the Nohoch Che'en Archaeological Reserve. You’ll grab a tube and float through the refreshing waters of the Caves Branch River, navigating dark limestone caverns filled with crystal formations and ancient Maya history.
Beat the Crowds. The biggest challenge at these sites is the influx of cruise ship passengers around 11:00 AM. As a **Private Tour** starting from San Ignacio, we have the tactical advantage. We time our movements to hit the "sweet spots" when the big groups are at lunch or in transit, ensuring you get a more intimate experience.

1. Why book this from San Ignacio?
Convenience. You are staying right next to the action! Guests coming from Placencia or the Islands have to drive 2-3 hours just to get here. You get the same adventure with half the travel time.
2. Can we change the order of activities?
Yes. Since this is a private tour, if you prefer to do the water activities first and the ruins later, we can adjust accordingly. However, we usually recommend Ruins first to avoid the midday sun.
3. Is lunch included?
Yes, we stop for a hearty local lunch (usually chicken, rice and beans, and plantains) to refuel between the zipline and the tubing.
4. Do you pick up from Benque Viejo or Chaa Creek?
Absolutely. We provide door-to-door service for all hotels, eco-lodges, and rentals in the greater San Ignacio, Santa Elena, and Benque area.
5. Is it safe for kids?
Yes, as long as they are 40 inches tall. This is our most popular family tour because the variety keeps kids entertained all day.
