Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk

This Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk applies to guests participating in tours, activities, transfers, shore excursions, and custom travel experiences arranged by Private Belize Adventure. Guests may be asked to confirm acceptance before or during the booking process.

Assumption of risk

I understand that travel and outdoor activities in Belize may involve risks, including but not limited to road travel, boats, docks, beaches, rivers, caves, jungle trails, ruins, stairs, uneven surfaces, wildlife, insects, weather, heat, sun exposure, snorkeling, swimming, ziplining, cave tubing, hiking, and other natural or adventure conditions.

Health and fitness

I confirm that I am responsible for deciding whether I and anyone in my party are physically and medically able to participate. I agree to inform Private Belize Adventure before the tour about any medical condition, injury, pregnancy, disability, mobility limitation, allergy, medication, swimming limitation, or other issue that may affect participation or safety.

Following instructions

I agree to follow the instructions of guides, drivers, boat operators, site staff, safety personnel, and activity providers. I understand that failure to follow safety instructions may result in removal from an activity without refund.

Travel insurance

I understand that Private Belize Adventure strongly recommends travel insurance for every traveler. Travel insurance may help protect against medical emergencies, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, missed flights, cruise changes, weather disruption, lost luggage, and other unexpected events. I understand that tour operator insurance is not a substitute for my own travel insurance.

Personal belongings

I am responsible for my personal belongings, including phones, cameras, passports, wallets, cash, jewelry, bags, clothing, and electronic devices. Outdoor and water-based activities may expose belongings to loss, theft, water, mud, humidity, impact, or damage.

Children and minors

Parents, guardians, or responsible adults are responsible for supervising minors in their party and deciding whether each activity is appropriate for the child’s age, size, ability, health, and confidence level.

Release and limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I release and hold harmless Private Belize Adventure, its owners, employees, guides, contractors, representatives, and service providers from claims, losses, damages, injuries, expenses, or liabilities connected with participation in a tour, except where liability cannot legally be waived.

Emergency assistance

In the event of illness, injury, or emergency, I authorize reasonable assistance to be requested or arranged. I understand that emergency services, medical treatment, evacuation, transportation, and related costs may be my responsibility or the responsibility of my travel insurance provider.

Agreement

By booking, paying for, or joining a tour, I acknowledge that I have read and understood this waiver, understand the risks, and voluntarily agree to participate.
