Belize tours can include outdoor adventure, transportation, nature, water, caves, wildlife areas, archaeological sites, boats, trails, and changing weather. This page explains important risks and guest responsibilities. By booking or joining a tour with Private Belize Adventure, each participant accepts these risks and agrees to follow guide instructions.
Adventure and travel risks
Activities may include walking on uneven ground, climbing steps at Maya sites, cave tubing, river entry and exit, ziplining, horseback riding, snorkeling, boat travel, wildlife viewing, long road transfers, heat, humidity, rain, insects, slippery surfaces, and remote locations. These activities carry risks that may include falls, cuts, bruises, sprains, dehydration, motion sickness, panic, allergic reactions, equipment discomfort, water-related incidents, vehicle accidents, delays, and other injuries.
Personal health and fitness
Guests are responsible for deciding whether they are fit to participate. Before booking, guests should tell us about pregnancy, heart conditions, breathing problems, recent surgery, back or neck injuries, serious allergies, mobility limitations, fear of enclosed spaces, swimming concerns, or any condition that may affect safety.
Guide instructions and safety equipment
Guests agree to listen to guides, drivers, boat captains, site staff, and activity operators. When helmets, life jackets, harnesses, tubes, lights, or other gear are required, guests must use them correctly and keep them on until told otherwise. Refusing safety gear or instructions may result in removal from the activity without refund.
Transportation and third-party operators
Some tours involve vehicles, water taxis, boats, local flights, park staff, independent guides, restaurants, reserves, or activity operators. Private Belize Adventure works with trusted local providers, but guests understand that some services are operated by third parties with their own rules, insurance, and safety procedures.
Weather, wildlife, and natural conditions
Belize is a tropical destination. Weather, road conditions, river levels, ocean conditions, visibility, wildlife behavior, insects, heat, and site access can change without notice. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. Guides may change the route, timing, or activity order if conditions create safety concerns.
Personal property
Guests are responsible for phones, cameras, cash, passports, bags, jewelry, medications, and other personal belongings. Outdoor and water-based tours can damage valuables. Bring only what you need and use waterproof protection where appropriate.
Travel insurance
Private Belize Adventure strongly recommends that each traveler carry travel insurance, travel health insurance, and medical evacuation coverage that is appropriate for Belize, outdoor activities, international travel, and the traveler’s personal health needs.
Acceptance
By booking, paying for, or participating in a tour, guests acknowledge that they have read and understood this waiver, accept the inherent risks of travel and outdoor activities in Belize, and agree not to hold Private Belize Adventure responsible for risks outside reasonable control or caused by the guest’s own actions, omissions, health condition, or refusal to follow instructions.
