Belize Tour with Private Belize Adventure
A Belize tour with Private Belize Adventure means your group, your guide, your pace. Every tour we operate is private — no shared buses, no strangers added to your vehicle, no compromises on what you want to see. Whether you’re arriving by cruise ship, flying into Belize City, or staying on Ambergris Caye, we match the right tour in Belize to your schedule and pick you up where you are.
What Makes a Private Belize Tour Different
When you book a Belize tour through PBA, you get a licensed Belize Tourism Board (BTB) guide, a private air-conditioned vehicle, and a schedule built around your group. Your guide’s attention stays on your party for the entire day. If you want to linger at a Maya ruin, you linger. If someone needs a break, you stop. That flexibility isn’t possible on a shared group tour.
Every guide we use holds a current BTB license, which requires formal training, a background check, and demonstrated knowledge of Belize’s natural and cultural sites. That credential matters at archaeological sites and protected reserves where only licensed guides are permitted to lead groups.
Tour Types Available Through PBA
Maya Ruins
Belize has more Maya sites per square mile than almost anywhere in Central America. Our most-requested ruin tours include Altun Ha (closest major site to Belize City, good for cruise guests), Xunantunich near San Ignacio (with a hand-cranked river ferry and a pyramid climb), Lamanai (a full-day boat ride up the New River through tropical forest with monkeys and crocodiles), and ATM Cave (Actun Tunichil Muknal — a serious cave trek with preserved Maya ceramics that requires physical fitness and advance reservation).
Cave Tubing
The Nohoch Che’en Caves Branch Archaeological Reserve is Belize’s signature cave tubing site. You float through an illuminated cave system on inner tubes with a licensed guide. It works for most fitness levels and remains one of the most popular Belize day tours for consistent reasons.
Wildlife and Nature
- Belize Zoo — A rescue facility for native Belizean wildlife. Good for families and first-time visitors wanting close encounters with jaguars, tapirs, and harpy eagles.
- Community Baboon Sanctuary / Bermudian Landing — A community-managed reserve in the Belize River Valley protecting the black howler monkey population.
- Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary — A lagoon-based reserve best visited in the dry season (February–May) for wading birds including the jabiru stork.
Snorkeling, Island Trips, and Zipline
For guests staying in Belize City or arriving by cruise, we arrange island day trips combining a water taxi to Caye Caulker with reef snorkeling on the Belize Barrier Reef. Zipline tours in the Cayo District pair well with cave tubing for a full-day combination. Horseback riding is available near San Ignacio and works well for guests who want something lower-intensity.
Tikal Day Trip and Shore Excursions
Tikal, the massive Classic Maya city in northern Guatemala, is about two hours from San Ignacio. We handle border crossing logistics for this full-day trip. For cruise guests, our shore excursion tours are timed around docking schedules — experienced guides know the port requirements and keep your group back on time.
Where We Pick You Up
Private Belize Adventure serves guests from across the country. Pickup locations include Belize City (hotels, cruise terminal, airport, water taxi terminal), San Pedro on Ambergris Caye, Caye Caulker (about 45 minutes by water taxi from the mainland), San Ignacio, Hopkins, and Placencia. If you’re unsure which tour works from your location, we’ll tell you directly what’s realistic for your time frame.
Who Books Belize Tours with PBA
Our guests include cruise passengers with four to six hours at port, families traveling with young children or older relatives who need a more flexible pace, couples on a first visit to Belize, and independent hotel guests who want local expertise rather than a mass-market tour product. We also work with repeat visitors who want to reach sites they missed on a previous trip.
Planning Your Tour Honestly
The best Belize tour for your group depends on where you’re staying and how much time you have. A cruise guest with five hours has a different set of realistic options than a hotel guest in San Ignacio with a full day. We’re direct about what fits and what doesn’t. Send us your travel date, pickup location, group size, and what you want to experience — we’ll recommend the right private Belize tour for your itinerary.
